Simple QuickScan easily detects and recovers recently deleted partitions, as long as they were not formatted/overwritten after deletion.
Advanced low-level SuperScan may detect partitions that were deleted a long time ago, even if you have created new ones and even formatted them.
The Last Chance recovery method detects and recovers files by their signatures on volumes having severely damaged file systems, where physical volume recovery isn’t possible! Recovers NTFS/ReFS, FAT/exFAT.
Helps you if a non-system partition is lost, i.e. you can boot Windows, install and run the software using Windows Operating System to recover deleted or damaged partitions located on data volumes, attached HDDs, as well as on external USB disks and Memory Cards (SanDisk, MemoryStick, CompactFlash, etc…). The boot system configurator (boot.ini) is corrected automatically to keep the system bootable. Also, damaged Volume Boot Sectors are corrected to maintain the integrity of the partition. The software allows fixing a damaged MBR (Master Boot Record) and GPT and deleting invalid partitions. Supported creation and data recovery from Disk Images, including VMWare disks.
Active@ Partition Recovery Professional
This solution allows for recovering both system partitions and non-system ones. The advanced Last Chance recovery method allows the detection and recovery of files by their specific signatures on severely damaged volumes. Supported 147 standard file signatures, including Music, Photos, Camera Raw Images, eBooks, Office Documents, and more. Last Chance recovery is the only option when partition recovery was unsuccessful due to serious damage to the partition's data. Built-in file Organizer allows to rename and organize files (detected by signatures) in a proper directories structure.
In addition to Professional features, contains a bootable ISO Image (WinPE-based Active@ Boot Disk Lite). You can burn it to a CD-ROM or write it to a USB Flash drive and boot Windows from this CD-ROM/USB to recover partitions (including the system ones). Also to recover particular files and folders from within the familiar Windows environment. The Ultimate edition includes also a Linux-based bootable Active@ LiveCD (Linux recovery environment) being able to boot all the latest x86 & x64 UEFI secure boot systems as well as standard BIOS. Universal bootable disk creator prepares Windows or Linux boot disks for any type of media (CD/DVD/BD/USB).
The ultimate version also includes the Active@ File Recovery tool. It can recover deleted files, files on damaged partitions, and reconstruct damaged RAID disk arrays. Active@ File Recovery allows you to save particular files in case of unsuccessful partition recovery (for example, the file system itself is severely damaged).
The toolkit includes the following main features:
- Recover partitions and disks. Restores lost partitions and disks back to working state
- QuickScan for fast partition recovery. QuickScan easily detects partitions that are deleted but not re-formatted
- SuperScan for low-level partition detection. SuperScan uses a low-level scan process to detect re-formatted and damaged partitions
- Last Chance recovery method. Last Chance technology helps with severely damaged filesystems on volumes
- Rollback partitioning changes. Backup and restore disk partitioning info and ability to rollback changes
- Fix vital disk structures. Fix damaged Partition Table, MBR (Master Boot Record), and GPT records
- On-the-fly recovery. Performs partition recovery on the fly (no machine reboot is needed)
- Manual mode for advanced users. Manual mode for the correction of Volume Boot Sectors provided for advanced users
- Unicode and long file names. Supports multi-language characters (Unicode) and long file names
- Recover to another location. Ability to recover all files and folders from disk images to another location
- Recover most file systems. Recovers NTFS, ReFS, exFAT, FAT, HFS+, ApFS, UFS, XFS, JFS, Ext2/Ext3/Ext4 & BtrFS file systems
- Supports all kinds of disks. Recovers IDE, SATA, SATA, SCSI, SSD disks, RAID disk arrays, USB Flash Disks and Memory Cards, external USB drives
